My Poem: My Magic Box

I will put in my magic box

A glass slipper from Antarctica

A flickering flint from France

A feather from an ancient moa

I will put in my magic box

The water from lake Wakatipu

The leaf from Tane Mahuta

The flame of a candle that danced in the dark

I will put into my magic box

A sleeping snake who snores softly

A throne from Buckingham Palace

A Sun that played peek-a-boo with the clouds

I will put into my magic box

The seed from a sunny sunflower that smells sweet

The babies voice that is music to my ears

The marshmallow clouds from the sky

My Box is my made out of fire and ice. My Box is made out of rose thorns and lava from Mount Tambora. My box is made out of wood and steel. My boxes hinges are made from elephant toe joints.

I shall swim in my box, in the wild waters of the Indian ocean, then soar all the way to Japan where I will go to Kinkaku-ji, where I will meditate to the sounds of the Copper Pheasant.

A&P Show

TORUK - The First Flight: New Show from Cirque du Soleil!

Hi Bloggers! Yesterday on the 10th of September, my family and I headed to Horncastle Arena to go see TORUK-The First Flight. Inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar, Cirque du Soleil transports you to the world of Pandora in a visually stunning live setting. Experience a storytelling odyssey through a new world of imagination, discovery and possibility. It was amazing! I loved the lights, acrobats and everyone and everything!

Netball Zones 2017

Hi Bloggers! On Wednesday the 2nd of August 2017, the YMS Netball and Rugby teams headed to Rolleston for Zones. Our Team's name is the "Yaldhurst Tactics". We had 5 games but ended up only playing 4 because of the rain. We versed Rolleston 1, Burnham, Rolleston 2 and West Melton. We lost all of our games and tied one. We had heaps of fun and improved a lot.
