Week #2

Hi Bloggers! I am blogging about all the work I have done this week. This week we had swimming lessons in ice cold water, quiet as a mouse silent reading and a really fun spaghetti challenge. The spaghetti challenge was mainly for learning how to work cooperatively in a team, and to know how to include everyone's ideas and not just do your own. We had heaps of fun! We have also done our first  Eas-ttle test and a Maths PAT. I actually enjoyed these test because they were some of my favourite subjects. My favourite activity this week was the silent reading because it was quite fun just having a little bit of silence and dozing off to a book. Here are some of the photos from our activities. They are the photos of us Swimming, the spaghetti challenge and silent reading. I hope you enjoy! Please comment and give me feed back/forward.

Being A YMS Hero

This week we have been revisiting on how to be a YMS HERO. in Rimu class. HERO stands for: H-Healthy Individuals, E-Enthusiastic Learner, R-Responsible, O-Open Minded Explorer. These are the values we follow and obey. We had the task of making a drama with our group.

Our group chose the playground, and Healthy Individuals. We chose to be sun smart. We show someone not wearing a hat and gets told of because they didn’t have a hat on so a ‘teacher’ comes along and gives her a hat. Here is the video:: And we hope you enjoyed our video, and it taught how to be sun smart.

Novel Study: Term 4

Hi Bloggers! I'm back with another post. For the past 6 weeks and a half, Rimu Class have been working  on their Novel Studies. For my Novel I chose the book Matilda, as it's on of my favourites. We were given the task of doing a set list of activities on our class site:https://sites.google.com/a/yaldhurst.school.nz/rblair/. I  decided to present all my Novel studies work on a Google Slide. I  hope you enjoy!
